About Us
At Cheeky Monkeys Playschool in Paarl, we’re more than a daycare — we’re a trusted early childhood development hub for infants and toddlers.
Founded 20+ years ago by Alicia Rossouw, a mom and ECD advocate, our playschool combines small class sizes (with a low teacher-to-child ratio) and safe, stimulating spaces to help little ones aged 4 months–5 years thrive

Founder
Alicia Rossouw
Alicia Rossouw, founder and owner of Cheeky Monkeys Playschool. She’s a mother of 2 energetic boys and has over 20 years’ experience with newborn–6 years.
Beyond that, Alicia’s approach is built on play-based learning and emotional support—she believes every child blossoms when they feel safe, heard, and encouraged to explore.
Under her guidance, Cheeky Monkeys has grown into a warm, creative space where kids build confidence through art, music, and nature play.
Headmistress
Carina van Dyk
Carina van Dyk is the teacher of the 4–5 year old class and headmistress of Cheeky Monkeys. She has 15 years’ experience with early childhood education and a real love for working with kids.

Charmaine Engelbrecht
Charmaine is loving and caring and works in our babyroom for more than 10 years.

Charlene is a mom herself with lots of experience with all ages. Helps out where needed with a firm but loving approach.

Estie is our school’s “grandmother” and carer of the small baby class 4–9 months. She has 30+ years’ experience and pours love into every little one.
